About FitPeeps

We started FitPeeps with you the everyday person living the everyday lifestyle in mind. We are an online health magazine committed to focusing on nutrition and fitness from a lifestyle perspective. Rather than try to just preach new eating habits or exercise techniques, we feel there is a more effective way. Our approach is to introduce nutrition and fitness from a practical and applicable perspective. By zeroing in on facts that are easy to remember, keeping the topics recognizable, minimizing the amount of scientific language, and creating a user-friendly web environment, our goal is to make our information and website as appealing as possible.  How do we accomplish all of this?

First, access to our information is free for everyone. Why? Our body is complex and does not come with an owners’ manual. Arguable, in the present environment, we have forgotten how to eat and keep ourselves fit in comparison to previous generations. There are also many sources of information online that have good intentions for educating the general public, but it is often very difficult to sort through and find information regarding topics that matter to you. We know that we cannot touch on every single subject and that we will not have all the answers, but our goal is address common key issues and to lead you in a direction where you can always learn more.

Secondly, we want to bridge the gap between the science community and you. There is so much research and changes in public policy that happen everyday and our goal is make sure you hear about those changes and know how it affects you and your lifestyle. The articles we write have been reviewed by professionals who include dietitians, doctors, and researchers that have the necessary credentials qualifying them to speak on the topics we cover. We hope you will find comfort and peace of mind in knowing that there is a level of trust that we want to establish with you, our reader.

Third, realizing that your time is valuable we keep the information concise and straightforward to avoid losing you in scientific language and also to not lose our readers with short attention spans when it comes to health science. Also, all of our articles are carefully and purposely laid out within our website, so there is no need to hunt around our website aimlessly for the topics we cover.

Finally, we invite you to share your thoughts and opinions throughout our articles. For just like in the science community much is learned from hearing different perspectives and points of view. We all gain and grow with each other when we all share.
